Cypripedium Monto Hypericum chartreuse-green leaf centersCypripedium 'Monto' is a 2008 Hiratsuka hybrid that combines the genes of the high elevation Japanese Cypripediuim macranthos var. hotei atsumorianum and endangered Chinese Cypripedium fasciolatum. The sturdy 18" tall stems are topped with flowers composed of a very large white pouch, often suffused with violet, and backed by lovely violet and white veined sepals.
