This Benedictine abbey was founded in 1043 and continued to grow until the monks were driven out during the French Revolution. In 1727 Bishop Jean Soanen was exiled to the Abbey and since 1966 an annual festival of classical music takes place every year. CONDITION This 82+ year old Item is rated Very Fine +++.
