Constructed of bronze, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, consisting of a Cross Patte, the obverse with a central wreathed monogram of King Wilhelm II, the six oclock arm with a date of 1915, the twelve oclock arm with a royal crown, the reverse with a central wreathed inscription of KRIEGS VERDIENST (WAR MERIT), unmarked,
