1903 Print Main Street Irkutsk Russia Horse Carriage Pedestrians Russian XGM1 Asia 13 x 32 cmThis is an original 1903 halftone print of the main street of Irkutsk, Siberia, Russia. The railway is the longest in the world and connects Moscow to the Russian Far East and the Sea of Japan. Construction of the railway began in 1891, and like the First Transcontinental Railroad of the United States, was started on both ends and worked toward the middle. This item is from a limited edition collection of important historical prints produced in 1903.
