Constructed of bronze, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, consisting of a round laurel leaf wreath, the obverse with a leftward facing profile of Friedrich I circumscribed by name and title, the reverse with an incription of FR TREUE ARBEIT (FOR FAITHFUL LABOUR), surrounded by a beehive and crafting tools, unmarked,
