1930 Print Stone Cross Cemetery Church Saint Charles Grand Pre Acadia XGVB4 XGOB7 brick roadThis is an original 1930 black and white halftone print of a stone cross that was built by John Frederic Herbin to mark the place where he believed the cemetery of the church of Saint Charles was located. Herbin was a decendent of the Acadians who once lived in Grand Pr, Nova Scotia, Canada. He bought the land in 1907 and created the cross to honor the people that were forced to abandon their homes and were deported by the British. CONDITION This 81+
