Constructed of silvered zink, the obverse consisting of a circular oak leaf wreath, set around a raised Heer style German national eagle clutching a mobile swastika, above a crossed bayonet and stick grenade, the reverse with a crimped barrel hinge and vertical pinback, maker marked with the logo of Gustav Brehmer, Markneukirchen, with a manufacture date of 42, measuring 42. 10 mm (w) x 53. 03 mm (h), weighing 31. 9
