One of the most intriguing wines I tasted during my visit to Piedmont in November 2010 was a Barolo made from 100% hand-destemmed fruit

heavy bodied rum with light-to-medium bodied rums aged in bourbon oak casks – creating a sumptuous smooth sipping rum which can also form the basis of memorable cocktails

The composition of the nose is similar to that of the Vosne villages though here it's a bit more elegant and slightly fresher as well

but it continues to show just what great balance and length can mean in Bordeaux
